Charities of Choice 2009
With the Christmas season upon us, the topic of charities has come up on more than one occasion recently. I thought I'd make note here of some of our favorite charities, we'd be delighted if you chose to support any of them in our honor.
Christopher supports a young man in the Dominican Republic through Compassion International. Contributions would go to the organization itself, not the sponsored individual.
Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO 80997
Corinne's preferred charity is the church she attends at school: LifeHouse ministries.
LIFEhouse Shenandoah
515 E. Wilson Boulevard
Hagerstown, MD 21740
Laura and I support
Mom's favorite (she's not technically my household, I just wanted to share):
I also participate in Kiva, a microlending organization. I loan $25 at a time to working poor around the world. When they repay, I get my money back to lend again. The sponsor bank gets the interest. These are the people I have supported so far: My Kiva Lending Page.

is the Amani Home for Street Children in Moshi, Tanzania. Contributions can be made online through Peace House Foundation. Peace House is a US based organization so contributions are tax deductible.
